SCHEDULING MARRIAGE CEREMONIES

   After obtaining a marriage license, from County Clerk, Karen Kinney, who may be contacted at (309) 558-3557 and is located at: 

Rock Island County Building
1504 - 3rd Avenue, 1st Floor
Rock Island, IL 61201          

   Set an appointment for the marriage ceremony to be performed by a Judge. Marriage ceremonies are by appointment only. To set an appointment, please contact Sherri Lawton in the Court Administrator's office at (309) 558-3259 or visit the office located at:

Court Administrator's office hours are Monday - Friday 8:00 AM - 4:30 PM
(We are open during the lunch hour.)

THE DAY OF THE CEREMONY

   The marriage party will need to report to the Court Administrator's office (4th Floor, Room 408 of the Rock Island County courthouse) with the whole packet received from the County Clerk's office, as well as, the $10 ceremony fee in exact cash.

   Cameras and cell phones are allowed in the courthouse for marriage ceremonies ONLY. All cell phones must be placed on 'silent' mode before entering the building, as not to disrupt any court proceedings. Please let security know when arriving that you are with a wedding party.
